Grand Opera Trio

Necessitated the presece of a couple policemen in the gallery. Change of singers who have restored to the scene the long recitatives of Faust and Margurite.

The Lavelles

Mr. Lavelle grows thinner and his other half grows fatter. It wont be long until he wont be able to tote her around stage.

Cecelia Weston

Seems to think that if she keeps her eyes wide open and walks on tiptoe she is good.

Kurtis and Busse

The dogs work hard to earn their biscuit. The act is so well put together that it is not until afterwards that you realize the dogs do not do much.

Barr and Evans

“Barr is not a ‘rube’ in looks or in action.” made up to resemble an Irish comedian. Falls over on stage while trying to impersonate a farmer.

Tom Hern

First rate comedy effects. Handicapped by working alone

Ray and Wood

Carries out the idea well as a roman gladiator. Defect lies in the material and improper presentation

Cliffe Berzac

“would be only ordinary in a country circus because they are used to trick mules … Here n New York trick mules are scarce… the unridable one is a scream”. The act is “cleverly faked” with volunteers from the audience. “The effect of spontaneity is gained”. Some of the volunteers are tumblers.
