English, but he closes with a series of
topical verses, sung to the air of "Dixie"
His
engaging good humor is at once infectious,
and a bubbling energy, together with his
smiling, blond youthfulness, admirably
set off by no end of "smart" clothes, won
him the instant good will of his first
American audience.
