The setting represents a room in the “White Hart Inn,” an English pub in the days of Shakespeare. The quaint furnishings lend to the atmosphere.
"Master Will's Players" was written by Owen Fawcett, who has obviously studied the situation and written a work worthy of the actress. Miss Haswell's company includes Chas. Hammond and Richard Quilter.
The program includes the names of Mr. Grove (as manager) and Mr. Donovan (as business manager), however they do little to add to the act. As the act is unfolding, the audience forgets modern things and slips into the spirit of the show. "If all the women who have entered vaudeville because they have gone follow in the "legitimate" could witness Miss Haswell's performance they would realize just why they failed In the dramatic field and double riveted their failure in attempting to fool vaudeville audiences."
