Her hastily prepared act, where she slipped in to replace Calve, is too entertaining to link Miss Irwin to anything else. She went through her singing monolog in an easy natural way. Some very big artists, single and not single in turn, could take a lesson from May Irwin. Tuesday afternoon she met Dave Ferguson, who gave her a story he had never used himself. Tuesday evening, Miss Irwin told the story on sage, giving Mr. Ferguson credit.
