Marie Nordstrom opened the second half of the show, and while she was pleasing her efforts did not seem to strike with the effectiveness that is usually their wont. The audience, judging from the lack of laughter at certain points, failed to "get" the stuff. However, her dancing lesson bit and the war song number got over very well.
