M. Armando begins his act as a clown leading a monkey. He has reduced the act considerably, the monkey merely walking on stage with him. The main portion of the act is dedicated to the foreigner boxing with a kangaroo.
There is another “boxing kangaroo” on vaudeville, but Armando’s is much better. It has been trained to slap the man on the head with its two forepaws. This is effective for laughs. The other animal had a dangerous habit of using its hind legs to kick with. As the strength of a kangaroo is there, it was a hazardous pastime for the other trainer. Although the act makes for considerable fun, it is small and belongs on the small time.
