Miss Franklin was the headliner of the new house.
The act is almost entirely new, four of the six numbers being "tried out" for the first time. Her new numbers included: a "chorus girl" song with good lyrics which will always prove successful; "The Janitor's Child," while in the kid class, was put over nicely but does not measure up to her former childish creations; "She's a Friend of Mine"; and, "What About It?" which is entirely away from Miss Franklin's style. She also performed "The Chambermaid" and "I'm Bringing Up the Family," the great characterization closing her turn. "Redhead" was called for but not delivered. Besides her new songs, Franklin has twelve others which she uses at various time, meaning she can make up to four acts any day.
The audience greatly enjoyed the act, Burt Greens piano accompaniment and playing included.
