At her first entrance, Miss Carus breezed in in rich raiment, her face gleaming with frank and fetching smiles and her person radiating infectious good humour.
After serving some jokes at her own and Noel Stewart's expense, Miss Carus sang some character songs. These songs included a clever and amusing Irish "paddy," where she warbled about the Emerald Isle, and she gave a song in Spanish costume and manner.
The audiences were more or less amused, usually more, every moment she was on.
She provided genuine entertainment in her distinctive comedy style.
