The Leading Lady

Marguerite Haney, Ralph Lynn, two other men and six girls in a musical comedy number. This act is entertaining in spots, particularly in the musical number. The talk does not amount to much. All in all the number held attention moderately well and finished fairly strong. Special in four. 29 minutes.

Nevins and Erwood

Man and woman in blackface singing, talking and dancing act. Made very good with songs and dances, but talk could be eliminated to great advantage. Good strong finish. Street in one, 16 minutes.

Jewell’s Manikins

Well-known marinette [sic] act which held closest attention, proving to be of unusual interest. Strong finish. Special in four. 17 minutes.

Hilda Thomas and Lou Hall

Comedy sketch, “The Substitute.” A good laughing number which seemed to please thoroughly. Frequent applause and good strong finish. C.D.F. in three, Olio in one. 28 minutes.

Mumford and Thompson

Two men who sing exceptionally well, but whose comedy is rather flat. They would fare much better with little or not talk. Singing end of the act went very big and they finished decidedly strong. Street in one, 15 minutes.

Adonis and His Dog

This fellow is a great hand balancer and his work went very big. The dog rendered great assistance. As big a hit as we have bad for an opening act in many a day. Special in three, 10 minutes.

Everybody

A very excellent morality playlet presented by a capable cast of 15 people. The act won and held undivided attention from the first. The interest was intense throughout and it gave unqualified satisfaction. About the best sketch we have had this season. Four special scenes, opening in one. 28 minutes.

Musikal Girls

Five former Fadetts, headed by Katelle Churchill, the well-known drummer and pianist, who with violinist, ‘celloist, cornetist and trombonist, rendered a series of high class and popular selection in a manner that stamped the act as a genuine hit. Good applause after each number. Several curtains and bows and extras in one. a big hit. C.D.F. in three, 20 minutes.

James MacDonald

“Songs and Sayings”, principally the former. Has a pleasing way of rendering his songs which met with approval and gave him good, strong finish. Olio in one, 16 minutes.

Ryan-Richfield

Two men and one woman in a comedy skit, “Mag Haggerty, Osteopath”. There is a mere thread of a story which serves acceptable for the delineation of Ryan’s comedy. He made quite a personal success and was capably supported. Pretty good finish, and, an act, all in all, satisfactory. C.D.F. in three. 24 minutes.
