This was the only novelty act on the Hammerstein's bill.
"Into the Light"
The audience was bent forward to catch every word of the sketch. The darkness of the setting and the suspense of the jury's verdict was enhanced by the death-like stillness of the audience.
Parry scored a marked success, gaining as much for her emotional acting as for the clever novelty sketch.
