(19 mins.) A local turn and very well received The boys are excellent dancers and the girl sings a couple of numbers. Act got over on its merits and will do very well.’’
(14 mins.) Very well received. A clever violinist with a repertoire of popular numbers.
(5 mins) A very good skating set by two men. Tricks very showy and well done. Act well dressed and got a big hand.
Baritone and Trumpeter. Miss White plays a trumpeter and piano, while Bezazin sings; at the finish they both sing together. This act is a very neat one, and received hands all thro act and at finish a big hand. They opened and closed in palace. They had handsome drops or cycle which would have added greatly to their act if they could have used them. Stage too small. 12 min.
In Smart Songs and Dances. Man and woman. Singing and dancing; Chinese song with costumes. Received a good hand at finish. 10 min in one.
In “Just Variety.” Man and woman. Singing, dancing, comedy bicycle, etc. Woman makes several changes. Received laughs and a few hands thru act and a fair hand at finish. 14 min. full.
Two young women in a succession of dances, some hand balancing and iron jaw work is done by two men who appear as pages. A hit in the closing position. 10 minutes full stage.
Another big hit. His gowns this season are most beautiful, with songs well rendered and in every way he has a desirable act. 23 minutes full stage, close in one.
Mr. Welch got a tremendous ovation. The biggest I have ever heard in Providence upon his entrance, and his act was one big hit, a succession of laughs from beginning to end. The audience would not let him go until he had said a few words in his own personality. 25 minutes in one.
It struck me that this act is not quite as satisfactory as when we had it on previous occasions. It doesn’t seem to have the thrills and the life and the dogs are not as well taken care of as they used to be, looking somewhat soiled. A very good act but I question its being worth what we pay for it. 12 minutes full stage.
