Tom Smith

20 min in 1. Nut Comedian different from the rest. Held the spot nicely and closed to a nice hand.

Mr & Mrs Jimmie Barry

22 min in 1 spec. Mr Berry in the “Rube” seemed to please and got quite a few laughs. About time they presented something new.

The Murray Girls

13 min in 1. Harmony singing with a little comedy. Make a nice appearance and went fairly well.

Wilson Aubrey Trio

9 min in full stage. Excellent bar act with good comedy finish. Opened the show very nicely.

Pathe News

5 min. Up to the average. Reel also had a small piece of film devoted to Lincoln’s Birthday.

“Marry Me”

22 min. One of the George Choos productions with Guy Voyer featured. Nice, showy act, good flash, but lacking the necessary punch to make it above the ordinary class of girl turn. Needs comedy and some snap to the numbers, which are only fairly well done. Did rather well in the closing position of a show that had plenty of singing and dancing on ahead.

Al Herman

Just as big a laughing hit as ever in this house where he has played often and is very popular. Has some new stuff and a couple of good songs, helped with a boy in one of the boxes. Closed strong.

De Lyle Alda & Co.

33 min. Very showy, plenty of snap, good singing and plenty of fast stepping. Also stands up well in comedy value and was a big hit. Miss Alda was booked in late to take the place of Dorothy Jardon and proved an excellent substitute. The piece, “Sadie – One of Those Girls” is a cleverly written bit of satire and the company supporting her helps considerably.

Franklyn & Charles

20 min. A great novelty set and one of the big applause hits of the show. They have built this up into a very fine act and the combination of eccentric dancing with the splendid hand-to-hand tricks proved a genuine surprise. Went very big.

Bessie Browning

20 min. Doing a variety of songs with costume changes and assisted by a man at the piano. Her songs appear original and she does each of them well, especially the comedy songs. Closed to good hand.
