Kay, Hamlin & Kay
(6 mins.) Three men in a swinging trapeze and trampoline act, one working in comedy make-up and getting some laughs. They have a good routine of tricks and did very well in the closing position.
Joe Darcey
(21 mins.) He got over in very good shape with his talk and songs, the latter bringing him especially good returns. Closed strong.
Anatol Friedland
(31 mins.) This act is still a classy number musically but it has slowed up considerably since we played it a year or so ago, due principally to the fact that the girls he has with him are not as good workers as he had on his last visit. The music carried the act through and it did very nicely without scoring a big hit.
Wayne & Warren
(21 mins.) A very good comedy talking and dancing act by a man and woman. Open with a lot of slang talk which got them laughs and finished with some eccentric dancing that proved a riot. A first class comedy act in one.
Hope Eden
(17 mins.) Through the injection of some smart talk by “Frescott” this act proved an excellent comedy number, as well as a fine novelty through the mind reading skill of the girl. It is an act that creates talk and ought to do very well, especially at the matinees.
Beatrice Eaton
(10 mins.) A local girl who recently made her debut with the San Carlo Opera Company. She is a contralto with an excellent voice and scored a solid hit with a couple of ballads and an operatic number. She has a big following here.
Beaumont Sisters
(18 mins.) Being well known in Philadelphia these two women were cordially received and did nicely with their talk and songs, finishing strongly with the old-time numbers, which they invited the audience to sing with them.
Markell & Gay
(9 mins.) A very clever dancing boy and girl, both good steppers with a variety of numbers. Did very well.
Black & White
(7 mins.) Working in a very attractive setting these two girls do a short routine of acrobatics and dancing. They did fairly well but the act does not seem to have as much snap as the last time we played it.
