Victoria & Dupree

6 min. Man and woman acrobatics and dancing. Nicely staged and dressed. Good routine of material and all done well. Did very well in the opening spot and is a useful act.

Pressler & Klaiss

13 min in “One.” Girl sings well and the grotesque make up and comedy of the pianist put them over to a big hand.

Ruth Budd

16 min 1&3 Spec. First time here in eight years and has a decided novelty that went over big.

Crafts & Haley

16 min in “One.” Good singing voices but the talk is only fair. Closed to a good hand.

Rolfe’s Revue

(21 mins.) Did splendidly, going on at the matinee without a rehearsal. The instrumental music, high grade, and songs and dances built up the act to a very likable number. Act was played number three after the first show and did even better in this spot, giving the whole show a boost.

Rome & Guat

(11 mins.) Another local turn and a big laughing hit in the next to closing spot. Their eccentric dancing is a big factor in putting the act over and it closed to a big hand.

William Rock & Co.

(29 mins.) Despite the fact that Mr. Rock has been very ill he gave an excellent performance. His new act has two good looking girls and was very well received. It consists of songs and dances and has been given the usual care in production that has marked Mr. Rock’s acts in the past. Closed to a very good hand.

Jean Granese

(14 mins.) Being a local act and a strong favorite this act was one of the big hits of the show. They have some good songs and the comedy opening gives them a fine start. Closed strong.

Sallie Fisher in “The Choir Rehearsal”

(18 mins.) Sometime since we played and it has always been a big hit for us, scoring again this time. Her company is probably not as good as on previous visits but the sketch is an excellent vehicle and it was pretty well received.

Edwin George

(15 mins.) Used about the same material as on former visits but as usual he was a big hit, going as well as he has ever done here.
