Ernie and Ernie

14 minutes in one. Olio drop. A girl and a one-legged man in songs, dances, and high kicking, with a little tumbling. They do a good act, but it is a question if vaudeville audiences likes to see a cripple when they go to the theatre to be amused.

Harrison Brockbank & Co.

The Drummer of 76” A Nepoleonic [sic] Episode. A very good sketch well acted. 3 male members and one female and soldiers (supers). This offering works full stage special set. Went well 20 min.

Adonis

Billed the act beautiful and it is well billed as the offering with the Lavender plush drop etc. and lighting effects make a pretty offering. One dog is used in act which is well trained. Work full stage 10 min. Went good.

Velde Trio

2 women, 1 man in a knockabout act in full stage. Man impersanates [sic] Chaplin. His work is good but it did not get over well. One woman of the act is very good acrobat the orther [sic] woman is nothing more than baggage as she does nothing. Act went fair. Four dogs are also used.

Bert Savoy and Jay Brennan

12 minutes (1) Special drop. Their comedy produced roars of laughter on the part of the majority of the spectators, but there were many, like myself, who found it impossible to laugh at a style which Jim Russel of the Russel Bros. Made popular fifteen years ago, when he was making them laugh from coast to coast. We did our laughing then.

Imperial Jiu Jitsu Troupe

1 lady, 6 men, 12 min. Full stage. A truly wonderful exhibition of muscular strength, skill and agility, and their prowess in this fascinating art is almost uncanny. A harder-working troupe has never been seen here, and the act takes rank as being one of the most spectacular, sensational and truly brilliant features that has ever graced the annals of local theatricals.

Charlie Wilson

‘Nut’ Comedian, 12 min, (1). He made a few, a very few of the audience laugh just once or twice during his entire turn. How great a thing to have guidance, in a managerial capacity, of a ‘big time’ house! Where one can see and enjoy a real ‘single.’ Scanning the volume of vaudeville’s history one sees their names on every page, in letters of such slowing brilliance that Time itself can never hope to dim their lustre [sic]. But these ‘small time’ singles, with but few expectations, have much to accomplish ere [sic] they can ever hope to be chronicled in vaudeville’s Hall of Fame.

Lucy Gillett

10 min. This clever girl juggler held down the closing spot in great shape. Most of all the audience remained to see her act, which is a mark of merit on Monday afternoon here, and her routine of juggling, all of which was executed with remarkable skill for a girl, brought liberal applause. Her act finished strong.

Elinore & Williams

19 min. They were a great big laugh with about the same line of material used on their last visit. They have freshened it up in spots with some new crossfire comedy and Miss Elinore kept the house in a roar of laughter, the same as she always does. They closed to a big hand.

Valerie Bergere & Co.

23 min. In “Little Cherry Blossom,” This is a new Japanese comedy with just a little sentiment in it and gives Miss Bergere an excellent opportunity for a delightful bit of character work along the same line that she did in “His Japanese Wife.” She is very well supported by a company of five and the sketch registered a solid hit, closing to a very warm applause.
