13 min. “The Mysterious Masquerader.” A very good comedy novelty act by a man and woman. Man is an unusual contortionist and goes through a routine of remarkable stunts during the action of the skit. Did very well in the opening spot.
Collie dog which has played in the movies numerous tricks which are very well done but very slowly. Man put dog through the tricks. 15 min. Full stage.
15 minutes fs. Special set. Woman and two men in songs, dance and bicycle tricks. One of the men does some dancing and singing on the single wheel that is good. In fact, made quite a hit. Good act and went over well.
In “Ma’mzelle Caprice.” 19 min. This well known couple have a new vehicle this season and it is the best they have ever offered. It is a very cleverly written operetta carrying a light but interesting story during several catchy song numbers and a bit of dancing are introduced. The excellent playing of the two principals adds to its value and the act scored an unmistakable hit.
27 min. In “The Dickey Bird.” This sketch which was formerly used as a curtain-raiser is an excellent one-act vehicle and Miss Shaw is an actress from the legitimate stage who has gained considerable prominence for her portrayal of [?] roles. The playlet makes an excellent comedy vehicle for vaudeville and is splendidly presented by the four persons employed. It gained many laughs and finished to a very good hand.
13 min. Three men attired in evening dress, one of them at the piano. Songs are of the popular variety and are sung in a way that catches the audience. It is a cabaret act along dressy lines and was very well liked, finishing to a round of applause that kept up for several minutes.
19 min. The ambidextrous writing marvel. A very interesting and educational novelty in the art of trick penmanship. Holds close attention of the audience. He has one new specimen since his last visit and was very well received.
6 men one woman work in full stage special set 20 min. Comedy offering on war in a trench with some good singing by quatette [sic]. Electrical effects make the act a pretty offering. Went good all shows.
25 minutes fs. Special cyclorama. The audience got a bit restless during Ellis’ piano playing last night, and some were inclined to “kid” him. Miss Bordoni’s solos were applauded, particularly her French song. This team pull about as raw an exhibition of song-plugging for an encore in one, as we have had in many a day.
In “The Unexpected.” 25 minutes fs. Dark tapestry interior. The best act on the bill. A novel comedy, full of surprises, with lots of class, and splendidly played. The audience liked it immensely.
