The Three Avolos

A very good musical offering one 14 min. Play xylophones and play them well. Three men. A very good line of selection. Went well.

“Vice Versa”

Moved from closing to 2nd after matinee. Two men and one woman in comedy sketch. Comedy carried to the sicking [sic] state by being to[sic] foolish. Some laughs but went poor all shows. The poorest sketch we have played in some time.

The Kiddies Burglar

Sketch made up of singing and dancing and musical. Using banjo violin. Three children and man and woman. A very good offering all showing a lot of talent. 15 min. F. Stage. Went good.

Vivian Cahill

Works in full stage 10 min. Trapeze and webb offering opening hanging by teeth while disrobing. Talks during act which is along the suggestive line. Went fair.

Merles Birds

Numerous cockatoos are presented by man and woman in full stage 14 min. Pretty setting and a neat offering. Went well.

Granville & Mack

little sinign [sic]. A practical St. organ is used in the act. Act finishes with a song and piano accordian [sic] playing by man. The real hit of the bill going over very big at all shows.

The Pritchers

Man and woman in full stage 14 min. Comedy acrobat offering on the bump order with a finish of the “Melrose” Fall from these three tables. The woman does very little in this offering. Went well.

Leona Lamar

“The Girl with One Thousand Eyes.” Mental Telepathy Act: This lady makes a nice appearance; very neat; she is blindfolded as she answers all questions very rapidly and correctly as stated so by all who asked questions of her. Such as age, time of birth, names, lost articles, about positions, etc., etc. Went rather slow at matinee, but better at night; but people are beginning to talk about the act, and I’m sure it will go great all week. 22 min. in two.

Williams & Kent

Two men; comedy act entitled “On and Off.” Open in one (blackface) and close in full stage (whiteface). This act I think has about run its course; when Flanagan & Edwards dropped it it should have died. 15 min. Went only fair.

Joe Fanton & Co.

“A Garden of Surprises.” 6 min. This is undoubtedly one of the fastest and best acrobatic acts we have had in the house for a long while, the combination of ring work and hand-balancing being excellent. Made a great closing act but is worthy of a spot in the middle of anyone’s bill. Particular attention has been paid to a proper setting.
