Hammerstein’s

The act was eighteen minutes long. She wore a widow’s gown. She has a monolog that leads to singing. She changes her costume halfway through the act.

Chung Hwa Comedy Four

The men speak good English. “First garbed in native dress”, they later dress in American clothes.

Alexander Carr and Co.

The act was twenty-nine minutes long. Carr plays himself in the skit. Carr, after being informed of a party, tells his servant why he should not go. The conversation breaks into a song.

Dainty Marie

The act was twenty-two minutes long. There is a green velvet drop. Miss Marie wears a “Quaker girl” dress and sings a simple country song with suggestive lines. She wears a boy’s dress suit for the second song. She performs toe steps, cartwheels, somersaults and contortions. She finishes with a ring act.

Cullen Brothers

The act was seven minutes long. Two young men open with a song and eccentric dancing. Afterwords they perform a scarecrow dance, and finish with wooden shoe work.

Jock Mils

The act was fourteen minutes long. Mr. Mills sang three songs. One was about Suffragettes.

Mrs. Louis James and Co.

The act entitles “Holding a Husband” was eighteen minutes long. The act is told quietly with little action. The sketch involves conversation between two women and a man. The man flirts with a woman visitor in his home in front of his wife. Witty dialog ensues.

Seven Bracks

The act was fourteen minutes long. The men are dressed in full tights that are salmon coloured with a black stripe down the side of the leg. The men are thrown from somersaults into various positions.
