Tinker talks five minutes on his new field of labor, and then shows about sixty stereoptican views of famous ball players and diamond incidents, each of which he describes. They are very interesting. This is probably the best baseball act ever seen in this house. It holds the attention of the audience to the end. Sunday performances, and went big. This will be his last appearance in vaudeville.
12 min in 2. “A Lady, A Lover and a Lamp.” A little story told in a most artistic and pleasing manner, containing some splendid singing and will be an ornament to any bill. A hit.
In “The Man from Montana.” 36 min F.S. A roaring scream from beginning to end. These comedians are making a much bigger hit in “The Man from Montana” than in any other sketch they have ever presented here, and should it continue to go as it did at both performances Sunday, it will be kept on the bill throughout the week. “It Happened in Topeka.” Supporting company consists of two men and two women and they are all very capable. The play is a big laugh all the way through and Mr. Bell successfully upholds the reputation he has gained in his former plays. Full stage.
The voices of this couple see to have improved since we last played them, and moreover, their fact is better. They are favourites here in Washington, Miss Dietrich being native of the city. In one.
“The Troublesome Trunk.” This little singing and talking skit is about on a par with their former efforts and seemed to please audience. In one. Spec. drop.
Two men and two women in the comedy satire, “The Dancing Missionary.” Scene a jungle, on a cannibal island. Missionary finds the tribe is presided overby [sic] a white woman as queen. The cannibals intend to kill the missionary when the queen saves him. He gets in to her favor by dancing. His dances also win the cannibals and the act closes with the missionary, queen and cannibals all dancing together. Terry’s dancing is the only feature of the act. F.S. special scenery, 17 min in one 3 min. time of act 20 min.
Man and a woman in a singing and whistling specialty. The woman, neatly dressed sing several songs while the man whistles several imitations of birds and animals. The scenery, a lake shore at night time with stars and moon shining was pretty. Act went fair in this position, but belief it would improve if placed in No. 2 spot F.S. 20 min.
