Rube Character Comedienne who went very well throughout, scoring many laughs and plenty of applause. Very good. Olio in one. 13 min.
Comedy acrobats, two men, who made the biggest sort of hit. Had the house screaming most of the time. Finished great. Garden in four. 8 minutes.
Ponies, mule, and the revolving table. After the act gets started it is all right. The opening is a bit slow, but the finish as big as always with these acts. F.S. 11 min.
“Humoristics.” Two men who try to be funny and sing. If they would stick to straight singing they might get by. Drop in 1—15 min.
Musical and acrobatic clowns. Act is a novelty, and all right for this position. Gar. In 2—9 min.
“Pantomimists”. Both work straight, in regulation clothes, one as the comedian, with a slight jag, who secures many good laughs. The routine consists of high kicking, odd and clever ground work, leaps, novel tricks on the table, good acrobatic stunts with a little dancing. A good closer and a rousing hand on the finish. Six minutes using centre door fancy.
An institution of ten clever musicians, playing bells, xylophones & etc., with a few steps of dancing. All genuine musicians with good selections. A musical treat that will make good on any billing. Applause hit of show at every performance. Using palace, twenty-two minutes.
From the manner in which this man is received at every performance, he can be stamped as the “best of character comedians”. His monologue is bright, all new and keeps the audience in an uproar for twenty-three minutes.
Miss Brandt presented an elegant picture of good personality, nicely costumed and possesses a sweet soprano voice. She is accompanied by Baron Napolino. Her selections are good and manages to get them over in a quiet way. The audience did not go into ecstasies over her offering, but did respond to a little applause, for which she encored, seventeen minutes, using plush drop in two.
Assisted by Mabel Russell. Advance applause. It is really surprising how this man goes at every performance; he draws the first strong applause, necessitating an encore and leaves them wanting more. 21 minutes in one.
