Sam Golden

The act was eight minutes long. Golden appears as a Hebrew character but sings Irish songs to open his act. He then does an Italian characterization and sings a “Christopher Columbus” song made famous by Willie Weston.

American Florence Troupe

The act was seven minutes long on the full stage. The “American” part of the act’s name seems to separate them from “foreign turns of similar name.” The act consists of three girls and four boys, the fourth of which is made up to look like a convincing girl. This fourth “girl” “is a great twister for shoulder-to-shoulder work, also doing a double that is a sightly feat.” The girls dress well in white.

Wilson and Doyle

The act was sixteen minutes long. Two men, one a “straight” and the other a “moke”, sing and do some crossfire talk. “The straight does a George Primrose dance that gets over.”

May Yohe

The act was eleven minutes long. May Yohe wears an evening gown and recounts her experience at a society tea in a parlour setting. Two members of the British peerage encouraged her to marry again, but she refused. She wears “phony” jewels made of glass, though her signature replica of the Hope diamond necklace did not appear onstage. She sings two numbers.

The Parshleys

The act was eight minutes long. This male and female team plays musical numbers with drinking glasses and xylophones. The woman changes costume twice. They both play ragtime and classical numbers well.

Paul Conchas

Paul Conchas is a heavyweight juggler with a comedy assistant. He has a new setting and new costumes, both of which serve him well.

Grace Leonard

The act was nineteen minutes long. Grace Leonard is a male impersonator. She sings five songs and changes costume for each. She has a band leader who is dressed in evening clothes and white kid gloves. To give her more time to change costume at the end of her third song, he sings a “genuine southern ‘coon’ song” which is attractively done.

Steele and McMasters

This roller skating act was eight minutes long on the full stage. The act consists of a straight man and a “Dutchman” comedian. They are both on roller skates throughout the entire act and the comedian does some funny falls. The finale consists of the straight jumping from a platform which projects his partner to a table via a somersault.

Emma Pollock

The act was ten minutes long. Pollock sings four songs. She is a refined and petite young woman.

Tojetti and Bennett

This pantomime dance act was ten minutes long. An artist painting a picture falls asleep and the painting comes to life. The woman “does some good toe dancing and poor pantomime.”
