John P. Wade and Co.

“Marse Shelby’s Chicken Dinner”. A classic, a gem, and the audience to a unit voted them a success. Full stage.

Horace Wright and Rene Dietrich

These people delivered some songs, not all of them new, but so effectively as to create a distinctly good impression. Their rendition of “By The Light of the Silvery Moon” was so clever as to secure several recalls. In one.

The Five Friends

Miss Francisco gave a satisfactory performance with her pony, donkey and dogs and it was just the sort of act to open the bill with this holiday week. Full stage.

Aleide Capitaine

On at 4:22, 8 minutes full stage. This well known gymnast made a splendid feature of the bill. We expect more of the act tonight by putting it up on the bill.

Frank Fogarty

On at 4:04, 18 minutes in 1. Fogarty had the audience going from the start and went as well here as he has anywhere. Cut the story “Gates Ajar. Also word “God” at the end of the recitation.

Kathleen Clifford and Company

In “Betty in Dreamland.” On at 3:36, 28 minutes full stage. This act was supposed to get here yesterday for rehearsals, but was tied up by the storm and while the company and the trunks arrived, the scenery did not, so everybody was at a disadvantage. Notwithstanding this, they got by in fair shape this afternoon and we hope for better things tonight, although the act does not look quite as promising as the “Top o’ th’ World. Cut: Joke about “What’s in a name.”

Johnston and Harty

On at 3:21, 15 minutes in 1. A fairly good act which for some good laughs and kept things moving without making any tremendous hit.

Torelli’s Dog and Pony Circus

On at 3:00, 21 minutes full stage. This is a very good animal act with six beautiful ponies, a couple of dogs and a trick mule. They got stalled in the storm last night and this morning, and did not get in until late, but for that gave a very good performance and should do very much better to-night when in shape.

Emil Hoch and Company

In “The Tail of a Coat.” On at 2:31, 16 minutes full stage. This is a very fair comedy sketch. Hardly as good as his previous effort, but gets by in very good shape.

3 Du Ball Brothers

On at 2:03, 9 minutes in 1. A very lively singing and dancing turn, nothing startlingly original nor classy, but a team that makes things up and finishes good.
