20 min. in one. Advance applause. Imitations of Irene Franklin, Jack Norworth, Nora Bayes and James Powers, Bessie McCoy, Marie Dressler and Eva Tanguay. All went well. Good applause and a ripping closing hand. Has improved since her last visit here.
18 min. in two, closes in one. Always a favorite here. An amusing line of talk that kept the audience in good humor. Mostly new material and all up to his usual standard. Closed well.
13 min. In one. Two men, one working straight, the other eccentric. While these men sing fairy well and dance very well indeed, their line of talk is very weak. Open very slow but got them fairly well at the finish. As far down the bill as they can go in this house.
8 min. This is a corking good act, and makes an excellent opener. In fact, it is a shame that these boys have to open the show because their work is unique, and full of ginger all the way through. One man works straight, the other clown comedy, the latter being a wonder on the bar and the swinging rings. Constant applause and a strong finish.
Father and four children, two sons and two daughters in a nice musical act. Well dressed. Classical numbers for the most part with a string instrumentation, cornets used only in closing number. A clean act and one that will please any audience of music lovers. Full stage. Time 10 minutes.
Went big. Monologuist [sic] and singing comedian. Songs went well and the talk, though rusty, scored. Works straight. In one. Time 14 minutes.
Went big. Comedy juggling act by man and woman. Both good jugglers and the running line of talk during the work goes immense. Woman works straight, the man using a “silly kid” make-up. Trick of catching apple thrown from the audience on a fork held in the mouth is well worked up and gets ‘em going. Full stage. Time 11 minutes.
Went well. Young miss in character changes and songs. Good wardrobe. Does imitations of Anna Held and Bessie McCoy and closes with a neat little toe dance. A very good number for the small time. In one. Time 9 min.
Went bad. Sketch entitled “The Rube and His Dream.” Man and woman. Did not go at all with my audience. The act dragged all through the 23 minutes consumed. Opens in two, then one, then three, then one and finishes in two.
Went big. Man and woman in “the Musical Farmyard.” A pleasing novelty musical act. Comedy is good and the finish in kilts gets a great hand. Carry own drops for use in full stage and two. Time 15 minutes
