15 minutes in 1. This, the third engagement at this house, opened to a good reception and closed stronger than ever. The act has been brightened up by use of a brand new plush curtain and improved in many other particulars.
Howard Kyle & Frances Stevens
Sketch “The Combination”. 10 minutes full stage. These two legitimate artists, have a fine little sketch which much resembles “Maid in Full”. The story is well told, has plenty of action to it and should develop into a good offering for vaudeville. This is its first showing vaudeville and well received. Closed to four encores.
Christy & Willis
15 minutes full stage. Juggler and Dancer. Very lively and pleasing act, which is doing well here.
Maybelle Adams
15 minutes in 1. Gypsy Violinist. A Beautiful Girl who plays the violin acceptably. Holds this spot nicely.
Zeno, Jordan & Zeno
10 minutes full stage. European Casting act. A good act that opens the show in great shape.
Marcel & Boris
Man and boy in a decidedly clever equilibrist offering. All of their tricks are exceptionally well executed and they were well received. A little mandolin and violin paying is dragged in the act and this, together with their comedy, which is rather painful, could be well eliminated. The act scored, however, and proved entirely satisfactory. Palace in 5, 9 minutes.
Stuart
“The Male Patti”. A slight demonstration of applause upon his entrance. All of his songs gained the closest attention and he was liberally rewarded at the finish of each with abundance of applause. His gowns are very pretty and all in all he makes a striking appearance. As a soprano he is equal to many female vocalists of note and his success was thoroughly satisfactory. Open C.D.F., closes olio in 1, 16 minutes.
Exposition Four
A very versatile quartette of gentlemen who offer an entertaining repertoire of instrumental and vocal music and dancing. Each and every number submitted got genuine approval and they proved to be a thorough success throughout. Opened C.D.F. in 3, closed street in 1, 18 minutes.
Ray Cox
“The Girl from Dixie”. She opened moderately well, because stronger as she preceded, and gradually rounded out a good sized and unmistakable success for herself. Some of her stuff is a little “fly” but I don’t believe any of it would offend. A very satisfactory act. 21 minutes, olio in 1.
