Went well. Ventriloquial act entitled “On the B. & O.” Special scene of a waiting room in a railroad station. Nine dummies are employed and a walking figure. This was the first performance of the act and while there was some confusion as was to be expected, it was well done in the main. Miss Acker is very clever as a ventriloquist and the dialogue is full of pith and point. The laughs come frequently. There is a foundation in act for something good to be developed and with attention should result in an act worth while. Full stage. Time 19 min.
Songs and dances. 12 minutes. With the surprise finish this act carried the applause of the show.
Pianologue. In one. 9 minutes. Cannot recommend.
An educated dog act. Works in one. 11 minutes. A good novelty act.
“The Night Before Christmas.” This is a special film that we had for the children to precede the Santa Claus feature of the big tree and the distribution of presents. It was an excellent children’s series.
20 min. F.S. Same act as offered here with some variations and improvement. A great children’s act for a holiday week. Plenty of fun and laughter, strong close after their bicycle-riding finish.
18 min. in one. These little people were seen here before and thoroughly enjoyed. They both are talented and held a hard spot very cleverly.
31 min. in 1 ½. This man proved himself a consummate artist right from the start. Received a strong advance hand. His “Fallen Star” is a genuine classic and his imitators have only shown how far superior he is to all imitation. Each one of the characters was concrete and distinct from the others, as if it were another actor who impersonating him. His rendition of “My Old Dutch” is worth going long ways to enjoy.
15 min. in one. Miss Butler is a clever soubrette, very vivacious and pretty, with a strong well-trained. Her character songs are all good and new. The four boys who assist here are fairly good vocalists. Finished the act with vivacity and closed strong.
22 min. F.S. This man is immense for a holiday week, and no mistake. Gave the same act that he offered here before, only much improved in comedy. This is a great “fan” town, and the act held the interest of the audience.
