In a laughing pantomimic act entitled ‘Mishaps.’ This act has been here so often and is also so familiar with everyone that comment is unnecessary. They did not get a hand at the matinee today. Were never very strong in Cleveland. Time of act, 14 minutes, full stage. They can close in one but the stuff they do is bad.
‘The Rose and the Dagger,’ this is a pantomimic act, and a very pleasing one. Miss Guerrero is a very handsome woman, a good dresser and dances with exquisite grace. She is ably supported by Dufaure Phillips. It is an act that appeal to the body of the house, and made a decided hit. Full stage, 14 min.
2 shows, 15 min, full stage. Pantomimic gymnasts, with special stage setting, representing an artist’s studio. One of the men makes up a maid servant and the other as an artist. Their work in not extraordinary, but considerable of a novelty, and for that reason went better than would otherwise have been the case in the place of the bill. Their acrobatic stunts were discounted by those of the Sisters Gousch, with whom they will be exchanged in the evening show.
In ‘The Rose and the Dagger.’ This is a pantomime act that takes exceptionally well with the audience in the lower part of house. The woman, who was brought to this country by Florenz Ziegfeld for the Red Feather, is remarkably handsome, dresses gorgeously and dances divinely. She is assisted by M. Phillips Dufaure, a French pantomime actor of considerable strength. 13 min, FS.
‘A Hotel Porter.’ Four men. Comedy and pantomime. This is a lot of odd stuff put together and acted in a way that gave entire satisfaction to the audience, they are good comedians and tumblers and held the audience to the very close. A good act. Full stage, 17 min.
Felix gets into his stride
almost immediately, and his comedy and
pantomime were one continual scream. He
is consistently funny, although it is in
pantomime that he glistens particularly. Lydia Barry shows to much better advantage
than in the1 ‘former offering.
