Forest Fire

31 min f.s. spl. Sets. Although there are a few changes in the cast of this act, it evidently did not interfere with its success. The show run late but the audience remained almost intact to the finish.

Katharine Dana’s Fantasia

11 min. This is a new production in which music and scenic effects secured by the use of colored slides synchronize, a woman singer and a man who plays the flute appearing in shadowy forms behind the series. It is an oddity and held some interest and the music portion of it drew some applause.

Valand Gamble

19 min. in 1. Lighting calculator using blackboard, and with very clever assistant who injects plenty of comedy throughout the act which combined with the wonderful mathematical stunts of Gamble registered a good size hit.

John Geiger

With his “Talking Violin” – in his playing he makes his violin answer questions, says little witticisms, and in various other ways, indulges in speech; this act went better at matinee than at evening show – no hand at finish, 9 min in one.

DeMarlo & Lady

In their marvelous act – “The Frog’s Paradise” – with Lady De Marlo, the Perfect Woman; special scenery; novelty contortion act; 8 min full stage; went fair.

Winston’s Water Lions & Diving Nymphs

14 min. This act is good enough to be headlined on any bill in any theatre in the country. It is undoubtedly the best aquatic novelty ever seen in vaudeville and made the audience burst into applause several times during its showing, Two girls and a group of water lions go through a routine of very showy tricks in a huge tank. The seals are wonderfully trained and the act makes a tremendous show. In the closing spot, it registered a solid hit.

In a pot-pourri of vaudeville – a little bit of everything dancing, a good line of talk, brass horn, piano playing, acrobatic stunts etc., all of which went over very big.

Travilla Brothers & Diving Seal

“The Edge of the World”

11 min. A picturesque novelty composed of a combination of colors. Carries a story with a woman as its principal, adding interest to the beautiful picture. In the closing position, it held the audience seated and although not strongly applauded, is undoubtedly an interesting novelty.
