Walker & Sturn

Novelty comedy racket spinners and sensational gymnastic jugglers. 12 minutes, garden. This is a very good act and went well for us at every performance. We had them opening the show but I am sure they would make good almost any place on the bill.

Holmen & La Vere

22 min in 2   Novel presentation of singing and talking and dancing. Went over very godo in this spot.

Karye Normal “The Creole Fashion Plate”

(25 mins.) The usual strong draw and big flash hit he has always been for us and although we have played hi m regularly he proved just a big a novelty. His setting and clothes are wonderful and should create enthusiasm with the women. His new songs are catchy and he is still the finished artist and an ideal headliner.

Taylor, Howard & Them

(11 mins.) Hereis an excellent novelty. We were forced to open the show with it but it could easily have held a more important spot and number three or four it ought to bring big results. The various animals used blythe man in itself something unusual. and created a great deal of interest. There is some comedy talk in addition. The act also lends itself to unusual advertising stunts in lobby display etc.

Niobe

(11 mins.) A novelty that interested our patrons and got some applause. It is a little bit different and served satisfactorily to close this particular show.

Frank Ward and Dollies

Mr. Ward has some little dolls that he manipulates with his fingers, the fingers appearing as the legs. A decided novelty well executed and liked very much indeed by the audiences as well as myself. 10 minutes in one.

The Dress Rehersal

17 min in full stage spec.   The novelty of this act and being short and snappy enabled them to hold this spot closing to a fairly good hand, but is not strong enough ordinarily for his spot in the shows we are running.

Bob Pender Troupe

(13 mins.) A good novelty, unlike anything we have yet played, and did extremely well in the closing position, Holding the audience almost intact and getting its share of the applause and laughs.

“Shadowland”

(13 mins.) A pretty novelty but lacking “punch” and it was received very lightly by our audience. It is a colorful offering but the dancing is hardly spectacular enough to hold it up and it closed poorly.

Haig & Lavere

12 min in 1   Novelty singing, talking, whistling and accordion. Went very good in deed.
