“Sensational Logging.” An interesting series of pictures of the lumber regions with a thrilling finish.
Tour of Switzerland. Good travel picture.
“The Englishman and the Girl.” An interesting and novel film.
“Bear Hunting in the Rockies.” One of the best hunting films that we have ever had, with plenty of surprises and abundance of realism.
“The Fishing Industry of Gloucester, Mass.” A very interesting industrial film. We like to use comedy series in preference, but this is so well done that we held it.
“The Paris Flood”. Very clever and interesting pictures of France’s disaster.
2 shows, 17 min. in 1. They gave us a most unsatisfactory exhibition, caused by a poor lense that should have been tried out and rectified before the machine was sent here. The pictures were all right, of the same style as those furnished by the vitagraph.
Special in four. 24 minutes. A talented little lady with an excellent supporting company. The best vehicle for showing her varied talents that any of the moving picture people have shown here.
“The Night Before Christmas.” This is a special film that we had for the children to precede the Santa Claus feature of the big tree and the distribution of presents. It was an excellent children’s series.
The collection of views this week is about the same as usual, with the exception of one picture which is illustrative of the Dunbar in India, and I think it is one of the best pictures that the Biograph people have over furnished us. There were two or three other pictures that went very well indeed, with a few old ones interspersed. On the whole it can be called a fairly good show. 15 minutes in one. KR.
