The pool ball rack with the balls falling out of the bottom, the rack being balanced on Kara’s forehead on a five-foot pole, remains a star trick. The orange, carving knife and fork bit is also retained. Opening with the Juggling of his hat, umbrella, gloves and handkerchief Kara proceeds into a speedy routine of three, four and five object manipulation, using plates, table, oranges and various other objects, sometimes with one hand, sometimes with the other, and at other times with both, but always dexterously. A male assistant helps in the closing trick, and generally makes himself useful, but not too conspicuous.
Man and woman; 15 min f.s. This act is very beautifully staged and the man has a very good routine of juggling. His lady assistant sings a little during some of the tricks. Rather quiet act to open with. Finished to a fair hand.
15 Min. Full Stage. Certainly a wonderful juggler.
Comedy juggler. Juggles balls on a snare drum giving imitations of trains, etc.; also juggles cannon balls, talking all through his act; veryneat [sic] appearance; 14 min. full stage; went very good.
9 minutes f.s. Special drapery. A crackerjack club juggling act with four men and one woman, working in pierrot costumes before a black ‘eye.’ Very fast act. Strong enough to close a show.
Comedy juggling act. Not just the thing to close a first class bill, but on account of the large salary of the 4 Mortons, I decided to cheat a little. The Wheelers got by all right. Held the audience, got some applause and laughter. 10 Min. F.S.
“The Pierrot Juggler.” Carries a special setting. Painted yellow and black. The setting and props the way they were arranged made a very nice setting on the stage. Full stage. 11 minutes. Went good.
10 min. This clever girl juggler held down the closing spot in great shape. Most of all the audience remained to see her act, which is a mark of merit on Monday afternoon here, and her routine of juggling, all of which was executed with remarkable skill for a girl, brought liberal applause. Her act finished strong.
7 min. in one. LeCroix did his well known hat stunt here assisted by a young lady who manages the bass, snare drum and traps, adding a little to the act. Fairly good applause and closed well.
Japanese skater and juggler. A good opening act, but he gets too much money. I suppose he needs it now that he carries a Japanese lady with him to hand him a couple of props. 10 minutes full stage.
