European Juggler. First appearance in America. He only played three performances, was taken quite ill and obliged to give up, much to our regret. The act is a good one and held audience to the close. Full stage. Time 12 minutes
Garden in 3, 13 minutes. A neat appearing local boy attempting the juggling of some of the best we have had here. Was somewhat nervous this afternoon and fell down on two or three tricks. His general work however, is lively, pleasing and acceptable, enabling him to close to good applause. 3 shows.
Hr 3 [?] Two young men in a club juggling act, one of them working straight, the other made up eccentric comedy style. The comedian does not amount to very much, but they do the average club juggling tricks in a very acceptable manner. It is a pleasing opening act. 11 minutes, open full stage, and close in one.
Mounted Club Jugglers. Garden in 3. 8 minutes. Local man and two boys doing a comparatively neat juggling act which was well applauded throughout and at the close. 3 shows.
Full stage, close in one. Comedy juggler. This young man has omitted the strongest part of his act, the apple throwing, which always went well here. His strongest trick is spinning the six plates. This act in its present shape is only fair.
2 shows, 10 min in three. This woman is neither good looking nor skillful and has a bad temper, which she exhibits to the audience when she misses her tricks. In this latter respect (the missing of tricks), she keeps trying to do them until the audience is tired. Should not care if she was never booked again, and if the act of Harding and Ah Sid is dependent upon it, we would not care if we did not get them either. Agree fully with Providence manager that both acts are overpaid, and this latter in particular should be in the three show section, if at all.
European juggler. This is the first appearance on our circuit of this performer although he has played the Coast and Middle West. He is quite a clever artist in his way and gets his effects by original methods. Aside from his juggling he is a very good equilibrist and does an act of balancing and juggling combined that can be considered the feature. He closes his act by borrowing a lot of instruments for the orchestra which he balances in a very peculiar sort of way. The act is a novelty all the way through and a good one. 16 min, full stage.
Tramp comedian and juggler although his juggling does not apply for a great deal. He made one of the laughing hits of the show and in all the good things that have been said about him in other Houses, I fully coincide with. 15 min, open full stage, very short close in one, 2 shows.
Juggler. First appearance in this country. One of the best juggling acts on the stage. Stage personality very attractive. Does his work with unerring deftness and made a great hit. Held the audience to the very finish. Full stage, 21 min.
Comedy juggler. This young fellow has quite a good idea of comedy and is rather a clever juggler in his way. It is a question whether he will ever get out of the three-show class, but judged from that standpoint he does a pretty valuable act. The best part of it is the finish where he allows people in the audience to throw apples onto the stage while he attempts to catch them on the prongs of a fork held in his mouth. This is always sure to create a laugh. 20 min, open in full stage and close in one.
