Comedy juggling act. This act may be called fair. The juggling is very ordinary and the comedy not funny until they get down to the burlesque automobile start in which they got a few laughs. 15 min. full stage 3 shows.
Club jugglers. Open with a little singing which is very bad. Man changes to a German character, while the women impersonates a tough girl. The [sic] do some very ordinary club juggling. The woman manages to score a few laughs for her slang phrase. A little too strong down in this place. Will change them to open the show to-night. 17 min, full stage, 3 shows.
GHR, [?] shows, 13 mins. in 2. Door fancy. A young man juggler, making his American debut. His tricks are all new and difficult. One is placing three billiard bells on a on a billiard cue and another cue on top of the balls, containing a tray with glasses, which seems impracticable and another good trick is to throw seven candles and catching them in a candle stick in their respective places. He closes with a dark stage and house and juggles three lamps, and at a certain time the lamps light, which makes a very pretty and novel finish. He was very strongly received.
The act is well known. Bedini is probably the cleverest all-round juggler we play. Arthur, the assistant, is an exceptional comedian, and adds materially to the act. An excellent sight act. They have a new stage setting and do a lot of new stuff. 18 mins. Landscape in 4, close in 1.
Comedy juggling act. Carrying set house. Wood, full stage. 15 minutes. The comedy of Mr. Arthur is equal to any that we have played. Mr. Bedini’s juggling is very clever and dresses very neat. This is surely the laughing hit of the bill.
9 mins. Black Drop in 3. Spec. set. Four boys, club jugglers, using illuminated clubs. Local act. Amateurs. When they get the act working right, the light affects will be very pretty.
3 shows, 12 min. full stage. This is a clever juggling act, its strength being in the good work of the girl, which is decidedly exceptional, her sex considered. If it were possible, would be justified in giving the act, a strong place in the bill, as it could not fail to make good.
GYH 3. Two men and a young girl in as neat and pretty a club swinging act as we have seen here in many days. The girl is young, and from the front does not look to be over twelve or fourteen years old, and she is the first woman club juggler that I have ever seen doing the intricate juggling moves as introduced by men. The whole act is a very pleasing one. 11 minutes, full stage.
GHR 2. Two men in a club swinging act. This is the American team that has been in Europe for the past five or six years. They have added a little bit to their act in the way of juggling balls, but their club work remains about the same, but that portion of their act was always the best of any performers we have ever played. They use a third man in the act for a few moments, who is evidently their property man, and while it does not amount to much it does not harm and brightens up the turn. 18 minutes, full stage.
Juggler. The first American appearance. This man handles all light properties, and while some of his tricks have been seen here before, he has a rapid manner in doing his work, which calls for a big round of applause. He does a little bit of balancing which is greatly appreciated. He closed his act juggling parts of Lamps which changed color, making a very pretty effect, thereby secured a big lot of applause on his finish. 19 min, full stage, 2 show.
