Wallace Trueman
Tramp Juggler. This man presents a pleasing little opening act, consisting of the regulation juggling stunts. Comedy end does not amount to much. Received some little applause for his work. 14 min. in one. 3 shows.
Le Dent
The college juggler. 12 min. In 1. 3 shows. Appears in a traveller’s attire. Does a good many stunts with umbrella, cigars and hats. Received good applause for various stunts. This young man is certainly promising. He made very few misses. Although there was nothing new and original in the act, at the same time it is good, and if he keeps up improving, he will certainly go into a better section. We shall place him better to-night. His announcement cards are very witty and bring the laughs. Held the attention and kept the audience in good humor. This man should be encouraged. Closed very well indeed.
LeDent
This man does the regulation juggling stunts. The main feature is the juggling of rubber balls. Secured quite a number of laughs by his announcing cards. Pleasing little. three-show act. 12 min. In two.
Bedini & Arthur
Juggling and comedy. 15 min. F. S. 2 shows. Pretty good advance hand. Bedini did not seem to be in the best of form to-day, missing repeatedly, but before the close he had himself in good control. The blackface work of Arthur brought out a good deal of merriment which enlivened the act immensely. The finish was good, but not as strong as it will be after they have grasped the situation a little surer, and pulled up the act to concert-pitch.
5 Piroscoffis
This act is all right altho [sic] they do nothing remarkable. They have some novel combination juggling tricks, and it is well presented with good dressing. I think, however, it was a shame to book them so near the time of the Agoust family for they are bound to take the edge off the latter, altho they are not as clever. 10 min, full stage, 2 shows.
Ladent
3 shows, 13 min. In 2- Juggler of hats, balls and small articles in general. This chap is really quite clever doing a very good juggling act for the 3-a-day division. In this awfully poor spot on the bill, he got lots of applause.
Charles Hera
2 shows, 12 min. full stage. First time for this European juggler, whose work is of the same character as that formerly done in this country by Kara, but this man is not so clever nor finished. He has two or three tricks that are new, for one of which he claims the world’s record.
The Five Mowatts
An extraordinary good juggling act and will go any place on any bill. This act deserves special mention. The boys are all young and conscientious workers; they are around the theatre every morning practising with the clubs, and I believe that if they are given work so that they can keep together, they will give us one of the best juggling acts we have ever had in vaudeville, and they now give the best one a hard rub for the first honors. Time of act 11 min. in full stage.
Charles Hera
Juggler. This man does a good act but after some of the great ones that we have had, he just gets by. He complained of being ill this morning and that may have to some extent interfered with his work. 14 min. in three, 2 shows.
Harrigan
Tramp juggler. Harrigan had some new parodies but very little in the way of new talk although he went extremely well with the audience compared with the show generally. 18 min. in one, 2 shows.
