Nadolny
Joe Cook
Paul Conchas
17 min. This act closed the show and succeeded in holding the majority of the audience seated Monday afternoon which is something seldom accomplished here by any act. Conchas still maintains a position at the head of the ranks of heavyweight jugglers, his act being showy and skilful [sic], while the comedy by his assistant is good for plenty of laughs. Was very well received.
The Baggesens
Full stage. Hardly know what to say about this act. It is a good one in its line, but appears to me to be a little over-paid. The woman does most ordinary juggling and is not watched by the audience, and the man, through his extremely foolish pantomime work and the breaking up of a full china store of equipment get lots of laughter and holds the audience to the finish.
Lucy Gillett
14 minutes f.s. Special set. The father of this young women informed us after the night show started that his daughter positively would not close the show. Stated they were going to pack up and go back to New York. She stayed. A good juggling act that made an acceptable closer, but would be better value in the middle of a show.
Juggling Doyle
this young fellow makes a very neat appearance, and does a lively little act, which in its way, may be classed as good, if placed early on the bill. 10 min. full stage, 3 shows.
Burmese Foot Jugglers
2 shows, 14 min., full stage—This team went just as I expected it would after seeing it in Philadelphia. They did not wake up to its importance until the act was more than half over, and then they tried to make up in applause for their lack of appreciation in the start. It will be talked about this week, and we will get the benefit next.
Juggling Doyle
2 shows, 12 min. full stage—this comparatively young chap is quite clever in a variety of ways, for his juggling includes work with a baton, hoops, cigar boxes and Japanese umbrellas, etc. he is a handsome young fellow, is costumed neatly as a page, and made a very good impression. He is a rattling good act for the money judging from a three-a-day standpoint.
Lynch & Zeller
Club jugglers, 9 minutes (2) Special drop. 2 men. Good juggling act displaying considerable digital dexterity in the manipulation of clubs, their entire performance being given in such a manner as to win gratifying applause.
