Sparrow
Mad Juggler. As usual, is one of the chief hits of the show; gets the laugh from the start and it continues throughout; his impromptu dancing at intervals is very funny and his general abandonment to any established rule or custom makes the act a continued surprise and keeps the house in an uproar. Full stage. Time 14 min.
Juggling Jordans
8 min. full stage, close in 1. Three young men in a club juggling act. Their work is very good but their dressing is poor. Still I consider it a very good act for the money.
Darmody & Corona
15 min. gar in 4. Two men, club swinging, juggling and hoop rolling, one working straight and one as a “rube”. Clever little sight act that can be classed as good.
RAPOLI
YNH. Juggler: there is no question but what this fellow is clever in what he does, but there is where the trouble lies. He does not do enough for the money he is getting. Some of his work is accomplished with a degree of skill that I have never seen equaled, amongst the best of them, but he is not especially graceful himself and is rather himself, and is rather inclined to be too stout for tights. He got as much applause as any juggler we have ever played and at about $75 or a $100 less money he would be all right on any bill. 22 mins. Can close in one if necessary.
Ozav and Delmo
Comedy Jugglers. Their juggling is most ordinary and were it not for the bar-room setting that they give the act and a little comedy put in which in itself is not very good it would be a very bad act. As it is it may be classed fair. 13 min. full stage.
Ozav and Delmo
Two men in a comedy juggling act, one made up straight and the other as a tramp. This act has played the circuit several times, but it really seems to go better each visit. The comedy is not especially strong, but the juggling is about as good as that of any artists that play the house. They made a very favorable impression this afternoon in an early part of the bill. 14 min. full stage. Can close in one is necessary.
The Baggesens
A man and a woman who call themselves “Europe’s greatest comedy jugglers.” About all they do is break dishes. As they are the feature of the bill everyone connected with the theater carries a worried expression on his face lest the supply of dishes within the city limits be exhausted by these “European artists” and their retirement from the program made inevitable in consequence thereof. 18 minutes full stage.
