12 min. open in 2, close in 1. A good dancing act, but nothing to rave over. Can hold this spot all right, but over-paid at least fifty dollars.
The juggling comedian and dancing soubrette. Same act they gave us last season. Full style, closing in one.
Advance hand. 27 min. in one, F.S., back to one, close F.S. Same act as presented here before with slight variation and just as big a hit. Two consummate artists who are original and do everything thoroughly well. Hearty applause after each number. Closed with the Devil Dance to big applause finish.
9 minutes f.s. This act went well. Of course, we are depending upon the outside features to do business. The maiden arrived in her carriage with her Arabs in front of the theatre, and the sidewalk was jammed every time. There is no doubt that this is an act that will get people talking and the stage part of it fully justifys [sic] the ballyhoo.
8 min. in one. These boys have evidently endeavored to get something new in the wooden shoe dancing line without the eccentric costuming. Make a good appearance and their work is clever. Held this spot acceptably. Closed with a dance on a couple of chairs which get a good hand.
9 min. F.S. This act differs from other Greek and oriental dances in that it includes a lot of contortion work that is very extraordinary and thoroughly artistic as well. The stage setting and costuming are all that could be desired, and the music is also high class. Act good on its own merits and fully justifies the advertising and hippodroming we are giving it. Not an applause act, but one that will certainly be talked about widely. If weather conditions are favorable, this feature will draw money in the house.
10 min in one. These are two very clever dancers. Whether working singly or double, hold the spot exceptionally well. The work on the mat is particularly good, and the eccentric dancing won a special merit of approval from our crowd. Closed strong.
40 minutes f.s. This is the third week of the engagement. That the little Chinese actress has become a popular favorite is shown by the reception she receives. Act ran much the same a new feature introduced called “Eve, or The First Woman.” A snake charmer with a twelve foot reptile on which innumerable colors are worked during the time she is on the stage.
16 min in 2 ½ spec. Exceptionally good dancers but the talk is a little weak. Went over fairly well.
