Palace, full stage. 11 minutes. Very good act, consisting of specialties by Miss Nina and some excellent bicycle work by Mr. Booth.
Trick bicyclist. One of the very best. A splendid opening act for any bill. 11 Min. F.S.
Cyclist. Garden in 3. 10 minutes. For the money a good act.
10 min. full stage—Went just as strong, if not more so, than last week. The men have now got accustomed to the circle that they race with one another, which makes it much more exciting than at the outset. Best novelty in vaudeville today.
This young woman proved a great surprise and a very agreeable one. In the afternoon her act went immensely second only to that of Mansfield and Wilburt. She had a very hard place on the night show but went exceedingly well nevertheless. 15 min. In one.
10 min. full stage—I can unqualifiedly say that this act will be the biggest hit of the season in this house and will cause more talk before the week is out than any act that has played here. It is simply impassible to convey an adequate idea of the sensation that takes possession of when the men make their first round of the Loop. I saw dozens of people in the audience this afternoon just grip the arms of their chairs and hold on as if they themselves were about to be thrown somewhere. Gather it in for the circuit quick. The men were called twice before the curtain after it had dropped and hidden them from sight.
15 min. full stage—Trick, fancy and sensational bicycle riders, and one of the best teams in the business. Held the audience wall at the tail end of the big show.
Two men in a straight and comedy cycle act. They gained the attention from the first but didn’t arouse any demonstration until the comedian of the team appeared, after which they got along very nicely all the way through, and made a fairly strong finish. Satisfactory for an opener. 10 minutes, garden in 5.
10 min., full stage. This was a new act that I put on here, consists of 2 men in a contest on cycle racing treadles, which are different from the home trainers in that they permit of greater speed being attained. The novelty about it was the method of scoring, with a miniature track placed between the men and two small figures circling it. The announcer was bad and some of the mechanism got out of order, so that the act got a very bad send off. I would not recommend it for the balance of the circuit, but can keep it here because the riders are local men and will have some draft for that reason.
Trick bicyclist. Being a woman the act does all right, and she does some very good tricks for a woman, however, it is not especially notable, as there are so many better, can, however, be called a good act. 9 minutes; full stage.
