Lady Betty

A remarkable chimpanzee who presents a series of tricks that are so human as to be almost startling. While there was no great applause through the act it was apparent that the audience was thoroughly interested, and at the finish she was given a good solid round of applause. I believe she will create a great deal of talk and have a tendency to draw them in. 16 minutes, C.D.F. in 3.

Lockhart’s Elephants

20 min. full stage. Did not go so strong as one the occasion of their previous engagement. Think the public is getting a little tired of them. They had a pretty stiff place on the bill, however.

Rayno’s Bull Dogs

A most notorious dog act in which a great number of novel and entertaining feats are introduced, all of which made a distinct hit, the act throughout being very successful and finishing very strong. 10 minutes, garden in 5.

Rayno’s Bull Dogs

F.S. Garden. Time 19. An act built up on the characteristics of bull dogs. Very funny and original throughout. The “football” finish is a scream and won tremendous applause.

M’lle Chester & Statue Dog

Special gilt frame F.S. plush curtain. Time 9. Very attractive hunting poses. A big hit with applause after every pose.

Silbon’s Circus

Dog, Pony and several cats. A splendid novelty act, well presented. Contains considerable good comedy. 15 Min. F.S.

Apdale’s Animals

On at 1:53, 15 minutes full stage. This is one of the best animal acts we have played and gave the show a good start this afternoon.

Woodward’s Seals

25 min. Full stage. The most important on a large sea lion, who performs equilibristic feats, was sick and would not work, and the act was practically “queered” as a result. This was the case afternoon and evening. After such a black eye the act will not be held over a second week.

Woodward’s Seals

SRR. This is of course, the best act of the kind in the World. The animals have been trained to a point of perfection which is it doubtful will ever be exceeded. Woodward himself is the same as ever. He never did not how to talk and probably never will, but at that it is a great act. His last trick where one of the seals balances a ball in the air and at the same time catches a fish that is thrown him, is little short of marvelous. 26 minutes. Full stage.

Horse-shoe trio

17 min. car in 3- Two men and a woman, cat and a property parrot; called an eccentric comedy sketch, but the comedy seems to be rather poor. There is a lack of bright talk. However, it’s good to fill in time early in the bill.
