Acrobats, 7 minutes, full stage, 2 men. Accomplish some very good acrobatic feats, working very fast and with no-let up. But the comedy, being very poor, might readily be dispensed with and the act would not suffer in consequence.
Acrobatic comedian, 12 min, full stage. Does very little real acrobatic work. Does the old Melrose fall with the tables; the remainder of the act comprising not very brilliant comedy that gets a few scattered laughs.
Woman and 2 men, Comedy acrobats, woman does some of the rough work, act is of the slap stick variety but pretty good. 12 minutes full stage. Went very good.
11 min. F.S. This act makes a splendid closer and could fill any spot on any bill where required. It is on the lines of the Willy Pantzer Troupe but the juvenile acrobat has got all other youthful gymnast beaten a mile. There is good deal of comedy, and the laughter and applause could be heard particularly strong from the children. Brilliant finish.
Acrobatic comedian, 12 minutes (2). Fairly clever in the same old routine of work that we have had for so long a time; Finishes with the fall that Bert Melrose made famous no less than a dozen years ago.
“The Upside Down Boys.” A novel, comedy acrobatic act which did very well in this position. Full stage.
An acrobatic specialty on the order of Davenport Johnson and Lorelle. A good act, but one that could obtain better results if placed in another position and worked three rubes instead of in tramp makeup. Notwithstanding opening the show, they do remarkably well and manage to secure some laugh. Nine minutes, full stage.
16 min. F.S. We were very fortunate in getting as typical a Christmas act as this for our holiday bill, and it went with its usual popularity with the children, receiving an advance hand and applause and laughter all through with a good close. In addition to much of the former routine, they have added a French head that made a great hit with the kids.
9 min. This pretty act won the crowd today, particularly the children whose laughter and applause could be heard everywhere through the house. Particularly good for a holiday week.
Head to head balancers. Little comedy introduced. Clever work. 10 minutes full stage went very good.
