Will J. Ward and the 5 Melody Maids

Will Ward and 5 women, all very nicely dressed, 5 pianos on stage and all playing together at opening of act. Singing by Will Ward and Peaches went big. Piano selections also went big. 20 minutes interior, went big. Will Ward was obliged to make a speech before they let him go.

Marios Munsen

Supported by Hal Forrest who makes an announcement telling about Munsons [sic] quick changes, which are clever and quick, and makes them talk, name of sketch is the Kidnapping of Bianca, Miss Munson plays 6 parts, 12 minutes interior, went very well.

Visions D’Art

Finely shaped woman, in a series of poses, operator with stereoptican in orchestra pit throws a number of beautifully colored slides on body, some great effects, 10 minutes full stage went great.

Dewar’s Comedy Circus

Two ponies, mule and dog. Trainer with 4 assistants, just the same act as Hickeys Comedy Circus on it is not worked as well 15 minutes full stage and went very well, would have gone far better is Hickeys Circus had not played here.  

Miss Ray Dooley and her Metropolitan Minstrels

5 young ladies and 2 young men, men black face, women white dresses, singing and dancing, open with minstrel first part, some good lively songs, go in to one for a couple of songs and then to full stage for a finish, the finishing song I’m Afraid of the Big Moon, with a lot of knockabout comedy went big. Don’t like the act myself but went big at finish. 20 min.

The 3 Musketeers

3 men, singing and talking, special drop in two representing Military camp, all dressed in military costume, some good comedy, close in one, all change, one in female impersonator, singing very good, 17 minutes, went very good.

Charles and Ada Latham

Man and woman, comedy sketch with little dramatic action, well known in Pawtucket and got a good reception, sketch called Nobody’s kid, woman does the comedy, good clean sketch 20 minutes full stage, went very good.

Lewis, Harr & Co.

3 men and a woman, all black face, comedy sketch “The Suanawee River” special set scenery and electrical effects, singing dancing and talking, music, good comedy. 20 minutes full stage, went very well.

Bailey and the Teare Sisters

Man and two women, colored people, singing, dancing and music (brass) dressed nicely and women play brass fairly well, what little comedy there is don’t amount to much, 12 minutes in one just got fair hand.

Irwin & Page’s Tuscany Troubadours

3 men, 3 women also musical director high class singing act, selections from Grand Opera, very nicely dressed, two special drops in one, Their trunks went astray and they went on at matinee in street cloths [sic], more than made good. Went very big at night show. 20 minutes.
