Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Crane and Co.

The act entitled “The Other One”, was twenty-two minutes long on the full stage. Mr. and Mrs. Crane are newly weds in the piece. Mr. Crane becomes mixed in May wheat and must leave his wife at the home of his brother in the country, while he travels to town. The brother, who is unknown to “wifey”, returns and is mistaken for her husband due to family resemblance. The husband misses his train and returns to the house to be mistaken for his brother by another woman (Claire Vincent). Several complications ensue.

The Neapolitans

Charles Lovenberg, who “presents” the trio, has done them a grave injustice in supplying a special drop showing the Bay of Naples and colored like cheap Christmas tree contraptions. Even the old time burlesque producers never attained such a triumph of color horror.

“Dance Dream”

The act was fourteen minutes long on the full stage. Colt Albertson stars as a dreaming bachelor in this song and dance piece. He sings under a spotlight on a dark stage in front of black velvet curtains. As he sings, several frames light up one at a time and he dances with different girls in costume. Fay Tinchard is the “turkey-trotting chicken” and Esther Hall is the “hoop-skirted girl”. They have the best dances.

John J. McGraw

This baseball act entitled “Inside Baseball” was twelve minutes long on the full stage. John J. McGraw is a baseball player and manager turned monologist. He tells four or five stories about baseball and is accompanied by a young pitcher named Mathewson.

Melnotte Twins

The act was thirteen minutes long. The Melnotte Twins sing and dance. One of the girls injects humor into her delivery. They finish with a rag dance.

Six Grunathos Sisters

The act was eight minutes long on the full stage. Six women are assisted by a man and have a routine of acrobatics. Their main trick is a series of somersaults from shoulder to shoulder.
