‘For Love’s Street Sake.’ 25 min. FS, 2 shows. On at 8:25. This is a strong and well written sketch, even if it does not contain the ‘eternal feminine,’ at least not in the living person. The action turns upon a confession of defalcation which the confessor did not commit, in order to shield a fellow-clerk, who had married the girl whom the confessor loved. Thompson’s work is strong, but that of Ince leaves something to be desired in forcefulness. The act commands close attention throughout. Closed with good hand and curtain calls.
