At the commencement Mr. Jerome sings a parody on "Marching Through Georgia," accompanied on a magnificent concert grand piano by Mr. Schwartz. Another parody, "Mother Hasn't Spoke to Father Since," a continuous laugh, was followed by Mr. Schwartz showing up a few piano players through rendering his own catchy and latest "rag," "The Whitewash Man."
Naturalness is the most difficult of all stage attributes, and thanks to this, together with their knack of framing up a catchy bright act, Jerome and Schwartz, on their first joint vaudeville appearance in New York, just naturally walked through their number and into the extreme good graces of the audience.
