The audience at the Bronx Monday night was quite somber, reminiscent of a funeral. The duo did everything in their power to get them going. Ward “kidded” the house about the “spasmodic applause,” trying everything but hypnotism. Finally the audience took cue from a little girl upstairs who was laughing her head off. In the end, they finished strongly.
