24 min. That Miss Harned is popular in Philadelphia was shown this afternoon when she opened to a house crowded to the doors. The version of her new play, “The Call of Paris,” that she gave us here in Philadelphia today was absolutely satisfactory in every way. It does not contain a suggestive line or situation and this version can be played with success in any vaudeville house in America. Her company is good and the little play carried the interest of the audience right on from an advance hand to a very good finish. As legitimate names and acts go, Miss Harned as a headliner will prove a most empathic success.
