Ve Song Shop was a good example of the case with which a good idea can be murder. Singing a series of songs, half of them old-timer and the other half the modern kind, with girls to express the idea of the number, two men tried vainly to put the thing over, but fell far short through lack of vocal ability as well as personality. The wardrobe and the staging is beautiful but the act lacks the punch.
