The Monday night show left everyone mixed. The drop came down on one of the girls heads. She did not appear again after that. The show ended with no one in sight while the audience waited for something to happen. Miss Suratt must have been "peeved" as she refused to appear for a curtain.
There have been a few changes to the act since it was at Hammerstein's. The wedding scene has been extended as the bridal party are now shown entering and later exiting the church.
The different ending is not an improvement on the other "finish," though it worked well. Fletcher Norton deserves all the credit that can be bestowed upon him; he puts life into an offering that would otherwise be very slow. The little girl who dances with one of the clowns should be given another costume. It does not look good that she appears wearing the chorus costume a second time.
