The plot of the sketch is painfully light and inconsequential, and does not entertain until Dave Gennaro gets into his straight part, and the proceeedings turn into the old Genaro and Bailey specialty. From there the number went merrily along as of old, finishing to solid applause.
Genaro and Bailey are using "Tony the Bootblack," a sketch which has nothing of real value to offer and only hampers the real ability of the pair as dancers and singers.
