Gray and Miss Bourke make their entrance, bow and walk off to the tune of "Every Little Girl." They repeat this and then Gray makes a short speech thanking the audience for their applause; this immediately gets the house. They walk off when the house drop is raised, revealing a small time vaudeville theatre. "They are a 'hick' team from the west that has been 'canned.'" The girl weeps at her fate, continuously harping on her fatal mistake at marrying an actor and moving east. Songs are interspersed throughout. At the finish a note is handed to the man stating there had been a mistake: the cancellation had been for another turn. They are wanted for stay of four consecutive weeks, whereupon the girl says: "Didn't I tell you to come east?"
Gray has written an excellent vehicle for his team. Unfortunately, they are not sufficiently familiar with each other to perpetrate any ad lib material thus lack the "give and take" so essential for such a turn. Plenty of work should remedy this.
