The playlet features Harry Brooks as the Grandpa. While his make up may be too much, his portrayal of the "jolly old showman" is convincing. The man had gone out into the world to make a living with his banjo but was unsuccessful. Katherine Clinton, as the granddaughter, and Thomas Carroll, as the hypocritical deacon, are also key performers.
